Cooker Removal FAQ's

How to disconnect a cooker?

To safely disconnect a cooker, you should follow these steps:

Switch off the power supply to the cooker at the socket or fuse box.
Locate and unplug the cooker power supply from the socket or wall.
If your cooker’s power supply cannot be either located or unplugged from a socket then it is hardwired and we strongly recommend that you do not go any further without seeking expert advice.
If your cooker is gas-powered, then it will be connected to the mains gas supply and we strongly recommend you do not go any further without seeking expert advice.

Safety Notice:

*** Many cookers are either hardwired to the main electrical supply or connected to the main gas supply if they are gas powered cookers.

*** We strongly recommend seeking expert advice before attempting to disconnect and remove any hard wired or gas cookers.
