How to disconnect a cooker?
To safely disconnect a cooker, you should follow these steps:
- Switch off the power supply to the cooker at the socket or fuse box.
- Locate and unplug the cooker power supply from the socket or wall.
- If your cooker’s power supply cannot be either located or unplugged from a socket then it is hardwired and we strongly recommend that you do not go any further without seeking expert advice.
- If your cooker is gas-powered, then it will be connected to the mains gas supply and we strongly recommend you do not go any further without seeking expert advice.
Safety Notice:
*** Many cookers are either hardwired to the main electrical supply or connected to the main gas supply if they are gas powered cookers.
