That's why our professional house clearance service is designed to handle everything from start to finish with care and efficiency. There are three main stages to our process and they are the uplift, where everything is collected and removed, the haulage, where your items are securely transported, and the disposal, where waste is responsibly recycled, donated, or disposed of. Here it is step by step:
Step 1: Uplift

This is the first stage where the clearance team arrives at the property to identify, sort, and physically remove all unwanted items. The team typically surveys the premises (either beforehand or on arrival), assessing access points, item volumes, and any special handling requirements (e.g. fragile, hazardous, or heavy items). Items are then systematically cleared room by room, often being separated at this stage into categories such as recyclable, donatable, or waste. Protective gear may be worn, and specialised tools like trolleys or lifting straps are used to safely extract items without damaging the property.
Step 2: Haulage

Once everything has been collected, the second step involves loading the items into appropriate transport vehicles and in some cases skips, for removal from the premises. In this step we focus on safe, secure, and efficient loading to maximise space and reduce trips. We may use vehicles that range from man-and-van setups to larger box vans or tipper and skip trucks depending on the job size. Items are often segregated during loading to streamline the next stage of disposal or donation. Fragile or valuable items might be wrapped or boxed, while heavier waste is secured for safety during transport. All necessary road regulations, insurance requirements, and waste carriage licences are followed in this phase.
Step 3: Disposal

The final step covers the sorting, disposal, recycling, or donation of cleared items. Ethical and sustainable disposal is a major focus at this stage. Waste is taken to licensed recycling or waste transfer stations, while reusable items such as furniture, clothes, and electronics can be donated to charities, shelters, or second-hand shops. We work with local reuse networks or upcycling centres for this.
