A two-person crew loads and clears mixed junk for you — you only pay for the space your waste takes in the van. Every load size includes the crew, a set amount of loading time (see included time below), licensed disposal and recycling. If loading takes longer than the included time — usually due to difficult access — extra time is charged in increments, agreed with you on the day.

Skip Hire Prices
Skips from 4 to 16 yards delivered to your driveway or site, with a 14-day standard hire period. Skip bags suit smaller jobs with no space for a skip. Roll-on roll-off containers for heavy construction waste are priced per tonne. Skips on a public road need a council permit, arranged for you and charged at cost.

Grab Hire Prices
A grab lorry clears large volumes of muck, hardcore, wood or general waste straight from your site — often cheaper than multiple skips for bulk loads. Muck and hardcore rates apply to clean, single-material loads; mixed loads are priced as general waste.

Understanding Our Fees
The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — but a few things can change what that price is. Here is exactly how each one works, so there are no surprises.
Booking slot fees
A standard weekday “anytime” collection carries no slot fee. Tighter windows, evenings and weekends add a small surcharge because they constrain our routing. Skip hire deliveries are exempt from slot fees.

Small order fee
Very small orders carry a fee that covers the fixed cost of sending a crew — it shrinks as your order grows and disappears entirely above £55 +VAT.

Zone surcharges
London Congestion Charge: collections inside this zone during charging hours carry a £18 surcharge, passed through at cost. It's applied automatically from your postcode and shown before you pay.
Oxford Zero Emission Zone: collections inside this zone during charging hours carry a £10 surcharge, passed through at cost. It's applied automatically from your postcode and shown before you pay.
Durham Road User Charge: collections inside this zone during charging hours carry a £5 surcharge, passed through at cost. It's applied automatically from your postcode and shown before you pay.
Eco & special item fees
Some items legally require specialist treatment: mattresses, fridges & freezers, tyres, gas bottles, and upholstered items — sofas, armchairs and even separate cushions — which must be incinerated under the POPs regulations. How they're handled depends on the service:
- Skip hire, grab hire and bin collections: eco & special items are not permitted. If any are found in a skip, grab load or bin, they incur per-item charges.
- Man & van (by load): permitted, but they must be declared — at booking or on arrival — at a fixed price per item. Declaring at booking means your price is settled upfront.
- Man & van (by item): eco items are booked like any other item, with the specialist disposal built into the item price.
Extra time fees
Every timed collection includes a set on-site allowance — 15 minutes for a mini van load up to 90 minutes for a super-size load (shown against each load size above), a strict 30 minutes for wait & load skips, and set times for item and bin collections. Time beyond the allowance is charged at £1.50 per minute. You have two ways to stay in control:
- Add extra time upfront — if you know access is tricky (upper floors with no lift, a long carry, restricted parking), add extra time blocks to your order when booking. Unused extra time is refunded after the job.
- Prepare so you don't need it — keep parking and access clear, bag or box loose rubbish, and bring items to the ground floor where possible. Most prepared jobs finish comfortably inside the included time.
Optional extras: disconnection & dismantling
On man & van collections the crew can do more than carry. Add these when booking (or on the day, charged at the same fixed rates):
- Appliance disconnection — £50 for a washing machine, dryer or fridge; £100 for a cooker (gas disconnection by a qualified engineer where required).
- Furniture dismantling — £30 per item for anything that won't come out whole: beds, wardrobes, large tables.
Parking & access
Parking and access are the two things that most often change a job's final cost, because they change how long it takes: parking far from the entrance, red routes, stairs without a lift, long internal carries, or furniture that needs dismantling all add loading time. If a parking suspension or dispensation is needed, or a skip is going on a public road and needs a council permit, we arrange it and pass the council's charge through at cost. Tell us about access when you book and we'll price it upfront instead of on the day.
VAT
All guide prices on this page are ex VAT, consistent with how trade waste prices are quoted. VAT is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
